Temple Hires K.C. Keeler as New Head Football Coach

Temple University is proud to announce K.C. Keeler as the new head football coach for the Owls, starting in 2025. A championship-winning coach with a proven track record of building successful programs, Keeler brings a wealth of experience to Temple’s football program.

A Legacy of Success

Keeler has led teams to national titles at both the University of Delaware (2003) and Sam Houston State (2020). With 271 career wins, he’s the second-winningest active coach in college football. His teams have made 17 NCAA postseason appearances, won 11 conference championships, and competed in nine national championship games.

Former players and coaches have lauded Keeler’s leadership and success. Joe Flacco, Super Bowl MVP, said, “Coach Keeler took a chance on me, and I’ll never forget that. He’s been a winner everywhere he’s been.”

Andy Talley, former Villanova coach, added, “K.C. is one of the best in the country. His recruiting skills and success at Delaware and Sam Houston make him a great fit for Temple.”
